The Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mukhamedkalyi Abylgaziev, held a meeting to introduce an emergency regime in the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister said that in accordance with the proposal of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Government will introduce an emergency situation in the country from March 22, 2020 for a period of 1 month.

The Prime Minister emphasized that, in accordance with the taken decision, the Government is starting to implement a plan that includes the entire list and procedure for the actions of all state bodies involved in the introduction of the emergency regime.

“The plan reflects information on the deployment of roadblocks in the capital city, and in the regions, defines the routes for the delivery of essential goods and medicines, the procedure for domestic flights, public transport, grocery stores, and pharmacies. Each leader will bear personal responsibility for strict adherence to the regime and the smooth operation of all the services involved. The same applies to the heads of local governments, primarily their work in providing the population with food. We have no problems with the supply of goods from abroad, therefore, citizens should never face a shortage of certain products and medicines,” said Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev.

The Head of the Government noted that special attention should be paid to the cities of Bishkek and Osh, as well as to areas where cases of infection are recorded.

The meeting also discussed issues related to the adoption of measures to ensure sufficient places for all patients, as well as rapid tests that produce results within 20 minutes.
