On May 16, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbai Jeenbekov visited the farm Kapar uulu Ulan in the village of Chon-Oruktu of the Issyk-Kul region, within the framework of a two-day working trip to the Issyk-Kul region, the Presidential Administration press service reported. The President got acquainted with the activities of the farm, which are being implemented within the framework of the World Bank Project Integrated Dairy Productivity improvement.
This project has been implemented in the Issyk-Kul region since 2018. Its goal is to enhance dairy animal productivity and milk quality on beneficiary farms – small dairy farms, with the participation of milk procurers, zonal centers of veterinary laboratories in the region.
The project includes the following components: improving the public-private dialogue on private sector development issues; on-farm productivity enhancement, farm-level investments objective. The latter relates to facilitating the access of small farmers and milk collectors to financing for the purchase of materials and small equipment through the provision of interest-free and unsecured loans.
It is expected that the OJSC “GF” will be the executing agency for the third component.
